The Common App

The Common App has become the most standard way to apply to colleges in recent years, and it covers over 1,000 colleges. It’s easy to use, has features that can help you in your college search, and allows you to easily enter information and essays to the colleges you’re applying to. To learn more about it and create an account go to www.commonapp.org.

The Coalition App

The Coalition App is similar to the Common App, but is newer and fewer colleges use it. Many of the top colleges in the country are available on the Coalition App, and it only accepts schools on its platform that offer substantial financial support. To learn more about it and create an account go to www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org

Individual School Applications

Some colleges ask students to apply directly through their website. The University of California (UC) system, for example, which includes almost a dozen schools, is one of the most prominent examples.
